The Chicago Police Department's DUI patrol will be back in Lakeview this weekend, according to a CPD news release.
The release says the patrol, which monitors city roads for signs of impaired driving and other criminal and safety violations, will be stationed in the 19th District, which encompasses nightlife-heavy Lakeview, from 8 p.m. March 22 to 4 a.m. March 23.
Police officers in the DUI Strike Force Patrol will be using speed detection equipment to check for speed limit violators, in addition to administering breath alcohol tests to motorists suspected of driving under the influence.
