Fairways

This bar and restaurant in Lincoln Park boasts a secondfloor golf lounge with four golf simulators. Casual and serious golfers alike will dig the chance to play legendary courses— think Pebble Beach—as well as par-3 compilations and other features possible only in virtual golf. There are a handful of other games, such as field goal “kicking” and tic-tac-toe, so even if you’re not into “regular” golf, you won’t get bored. Two to four people can play at each simulator ($50 an hour), or you can reserve the entire lounge for a larger party.

SOX TAILGATING
For the groom or bride who bleeds black and white, snag group tickets to an afternoon White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field (333 W. 35th St.). When the gates open, grab a round at adjacent bar Bacardi at the Park or the Bullpen Bar inside for table service and prime view of the action in right field. Post-game, consider burgers and beer at Cork & Kerry at the Park (3258 S. Princeton Ave. 312-842-0769) or cocktails and DJ-spun beats at Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar (960 W. 31st St. 773-890- 0588) Group tickets available online: whitesox.com.

ROOFTOP CUBS GAME
Set up a party package at a Cubs rooftop—try Wrigleyville Rooftops, Skybox on Sheffield and Brixen Ivy, just to name a few—to eat, drink and watch the game from a bird’s-eye view. Package prices vary by date, so call for details. For post-game revelry, all that Wrigleyville nightlife has to offer—from dueling pianos at Sluggers to Goose Island’s beer garden—is stumbling distance away.
