Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen, aka "The Flash," in The CW… (Jack Rowand / Warner Bros.…)
It's been a slow reveal, but we're finally getting a first look at The Flash.
Last fall, Grant Gustin appeared as Barry Allen in The CW's "Arrow," and we knew he was going to become The Flash in his own pilot of the same name. Production begins on "The Flash" pilot next week, so it's a good time for The CW and Warner Bros. Television to give us the peek.
The costume—of which we see very little—was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also designed Arrow's costume.
"The Flash" is the latest adaptation of the DC Comics character who, as we saw in "Arrow," suffered a freak accident that transformed scientist Allen into the fastest man alive.
"Arrow" exec producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter also serve as exec producers on "The Flash." Nutter is directing from a script by Berlanti, Kreisberg and DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.
