"I wanna talk to somebody in charge."
That's Bryan Cranston's first line in the full "Godzilla" trailer released Tuesday.
Modern times haven't been great for "Godzilla" reboots. Matthew Broderick's 1998 version has a pretty crummy reputation on review site Rotten Tomatoes, and the other cheesy reboots have been pretty much just that.
But the trailer released Tuesday looks promising, with planes dropping out of the air, massive failed evacuations and what looks like a decent backstory. (The trailer explains that nuclear tests in the Pacific weren't tests, they were attempts at killing the giant monster.)
The film is from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, and also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Ken Watanabe.
