Chicago's Valentine's Day hot spot is ...The Billy Goat Tavern?

The way to your lover's heart is apparently a cheezeborger and chips.

Facebook on Friday released a ranking of the most popular Valentine's Day destinations in Chicago based on check-ins over the last four years. Sandwiched among the places you'd expect are some head scratchers. The list is as follows:

1. Siena Tavern
2. Brazzaz Official Site
3. Carnivale
4. Grand Lux Café
5. Billy Goat Tavern
6. Cafe Babareeba
7. Weber Grill Restaurant
8. Connie's Pizza
9. Ginos East of Chicago
10. Las Tablas Restaurant

The Billy Goat is a wonderful place where the staff adheres to the shtick once portrayed on "SNL," but it's a surprising pick. Also eyebrow-raising is the fact that people are not only spending their V-Days at the subterranean tavern, but also that they're publicly announcing it on social media.

Maybe the signature Horny Goat cocktail is a draw? Are singles looking for love at a location whose primary demographic is journalists drinking their feelings? Maybe it's just because there are several Billy Goat locations throughout the city.

Whatever the case, the rankings do tell us that Chicago is in love with pizza (Gino's East and Connie's make the list), and that all romance is not lost, as fancier destinations like Siena Tavern, Brazzaz and Carnivale make the list.

Also according to Facebook, Chicago ranks 15 of 50 cities surveyed for the number of singles.
