A suburban man was arrested early Sunday morning when police officers saw him running through a Midway parking lot with a gun, county prosecutors said.

Jesse Mireles, 38, of Berwyn, Ill., was charged with two unlawful weapons offenses, aggravated assault, armed violence, possession of a controlled substance, and domestic violence after police officers found him running along the 5700 block of South Cicero Avenue, in a lot on Midway property, according to court records.

Mireles, who was being searched for because of a domestic violence alert, was seen placing one of his weapons, a firearm with a laser pointer, on the ground before trying to flee, according to the police report. When officers arrested him he was allegedly carrying another firearm and 57 grams of a substance suspected to be cocaine.

Mireles, an admitted gang member according to the police report, was brought to the Cook County Criminal Courthouse on Monday afternoon and ordered held on a $100,000 bond.
