Marshall-Metro assistant basketball coach shot: report

The Chicago Sun-Times reports: An assistant basketball coach at Marshall-Metro High School was shot twice while sitting in his car this morning. 

Officials at the school confirmed 38-year-old Shawn Harrington was the victim of the shooting, which occured before 8 a.m. Thursday morning near Augusta Blvd. and Hamlin Ave. He was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital in stable condition, according to the Sun-Times. 

He was a graduate of the high school, and also featured in the 1994 documentary "Hoop Dreams."
