Pot brownies, pot candy seized in bust near Humboldt Park

Chicago police officers recovered more than $170,00 worth of narcotics, including pot brownies, chocolates, mushrooms, and MDMA, from a home near Humboldt Park, department officials announced Wednesday afternoon.

Police arrested Patrick McKay, 25, of the 2700 block of West Augusta Boulevard, on several counts of felony cannabis and controlled substance possession, on Tuesday, the announcement said.

Officials said McKay was suspected by Narcotics Division officers to have been creating "large quantities of THC edibles," including suckers, chocolates, brownies, and cookies, in his home.

Officers carrying out a search warrant at the address said they found over 5900 grams of "Kush-Cannabis and THC-related edibles," about 150 grams of Mushrooms, and one gram of MDMA.
