Robert Feder reports: New ownership for WIQI FM 101.1 will return alternative music to WKQX 101.1 to Chicago's radio dials next week.

The deal, Feder reports, will simulcast the alternative format of Q87.7 on the 101.1 spot on the radio for a month. The change comes as Cumulus Media has purchased the station from Merlin Media, along with WLUP 97.9 FM (The Loop.) There is no expected change to the format of the Loop, according to Feder.

CORRECTION: The name of the station is WKQX 101.1 FM. An earlier version of the story and headline were incorrect.
