The many faces of Mayor Rahm Emanuel: 2013 edition

Mayor Emanuel is often seen announcing new programs at press conferences, presiding over City Council meetings and meeting with dignitaries.

But Chicagoans have also seen another side of him away from City Hall.

The dancer: We knew the mayor took ballet lessons. But he showed off more dance moves as he took off his tie and bit his lower lip while he listened to Robin Thicke perform "Blurred Lines"  at the Taste of Chicago. Of course, a video captured the mayor dancing.

Good samaritan: The mayor rushed out a coffee shop to the aid of a cyclist hit by a truck near the intersection of Milwaukee, Chicago and Ogden avenues. The mayor waited with the cyclist until an ambulance arrived.

Tough guy: The mayor went to bat for Chicago when it was announced the title of nation's tallest building would be stripped from the Willis Tower and awarded to New York's One World Trade Center because of its spire. After Emanuel argued the so-called spire was an antenna, "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart took the battle between Chicago and New York to the next level and attacked Chicago's deep-dish pizza. Then, Emanuel showed his "Rahmbo" side and sent the "Daily Show" deep-dish pizzas with anchovies. The mayor tweeted a photo with the sign "Deep dish with dead fish." We think Stewart got the message.
