It's Christmastime in the city, and the Cubs are joining the festivities with the annual lighting of the Wrigley Christmas tree Thursday.

Hall of Famer Fergie Jenkins and Laura Ricketts will be on-hand for the festivities under the Wrigley Field Marquee at 5:30 p.m. To celebrate the park's 100-year anniversary, the number "100" will act as the 24-foot tree's topper this year.

The Cubs will also be hosting a holiday toy drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday for the Lawrence Hall Youth Services. All unwrapped toys can be brought to the administrative entrance next to the Ernie Banks statue.

During the tree lighting, free hot chocolate, cookies and photos with Santa also will be available.

Still need your own decorations? Christy Webber Farm & Garden will be selling trees and more with a portion of the sales donated to Cubs Charities.
