O'Connor Casting will conduct an open casting call Dec. 5 in Chicago for "The Great Norway Adventure."
"Alt for Norge," as it is titled in Norway, is an Emmy-winning hit in that country. It follows 12 Norwegian-Americans who compete in a series of challenges that bring them closer to their Norwegian heritage. The winner receives $50,000 and gets to meet Norwegian relatives he or she did not even know they had.
O'Connor Casting is conducting a search for contestants for the show's fifth season across the U.S. The Chicago casting call is set for 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 5 at O'Connor Casting Company, 1219 W. Madison St. Email email@example.com to get on the VIP list.
"When past contestants describe the experience as 'life changing,' 'epic adventure' and 'most meaningful thing I've done in my life,' you know you’re working on something truly spectacular," casting producer Joan O'Connor said in an email release. "Season 4 contestant Liv Bly sums it up: If you are a Norwegian-American you would be CRAZY to pass up this opportunity."

Anyone can apply as long as they are Americans with Norwegian ancestry (even a little bit counts) who are at least 18 years old and have never traveled to Norway. The series is produced by Norway's Monster Entertainment.
