Scottie Pippen will make an appearance at the Microsoft Store on Michigan… (Mike Ehrmann )
Maybe you’ll never challenge six-time NBA Champion Scottie Pippen to a game of basketball, but this might just be the next best thing.
Pippen will be on hand at a Microsoft Store in Chicago this weekend to challenge shoppers on the new Xbox One. The former Chicago Bulls forward will also be signing autographs at the event, which will take place at the Microsoft Store at the Shops at Northbridge (520 N Michigan Ave) from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 23.
The event is part of the launch of the new Xbox One, which hits store shelves on Friday. Other festivities this week include midnight launch events at all 82 Microsoft stores across the country on Nov. 21.
The Xbox One will be sold at a starting price of $499. The console will be released eight years to the day after the debut of the first Xbox gaming console, the Xbox 360. The release is also exactly a week after the PlayStation 4 hit the market, selling around 1 million units in a mere 24 hours.
