There's a new angle on the infamous "poorly attempted hit-and-run" video that exploaded online Wednesday.
Taxi news site Chicago Dispatcher obtained video of the Belmont Avenue incident that occured Oct. 30. The driver, who hit five cars in total, was later arrested and charged with criminal damage to public property, leaving the scene, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, among other offenses.
The video is hardly as dramatic as the first that went viral earlier this week, but it does capture the vehicle smashing up several cars before it flees the scene. Most of the action starts at 8:55, when the cab is hit from behind and the car speeds off. The beginning appears to show the cab driver following the hit and run suspect in an attempt to stop him.
