Two Chicago teens were arrested for shoplifting from Loop stores on Halloween, county prosecutors said, including the clothing and costume jewelery store Claire's.

Kenosha Thomas, 17, of the 3800 block of South Wentworth Avenue, and Naomi Monroe, 18, of the 7300 block of South Richmond Street, were arrested at a Loop CVS after a store employee called police when observing them attempting to leave the store with about $50 worth of merchandise they hadn't paid for, according to court records.

Police officers searched the women's purses and found $115.81 worth of clothing and accessories from a nearby Claire's outlet on North State Street, the police report said. One of the women also allegedly punched a Claire's employee in the face as they fled the Claire's.

Both Monroe and Thomas were brought to the Cook County Criminal Courthouse Friday afternoon and released on $25,000 I-bonds.
