Food: At the Chef’s Table

Tuesday, noon-1:30 p.m.

Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.)

Cat Cora and Graham Elliot are just few of the culinary icons who will pull a chair up to the chef’s table to discuss the power of food. Why do people gather around food? Why does it instantly change our moods? Is pizza magic?!

For those who want to learn something new

Space Exploration, Art and Science

Wednesday, 8 a.m.-9 a.m.

Morningstar (22 W. Washington St.)

Biologists, astronomers and physicists discuss the important role of visual arts in universal exploration and research. Translation: Come look at cool pictures of space!

For good-doers

Chicago Cares: Power-Solving Chicago’s Biggest Challenges Through Volunteerism

Thursday, noon-2 p.m.

Chicago Cares (2 N. Riverside Plaza, Suite 2200)

This hands-on lab allows attendees to develop a module that will address some of Chicago’s most urgent issues. Event host Chicago Cares, a group that creates volunteer experiences throughout the city, plans to incorporate the best module into its future programs.

For funny people

Comedy: It’s Funny ‘Cause It’s True

Saturday, 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.

Museum of Contemporary Art (220 E. Chicago Ave.)

Comedian and radio host Brian Babylon chats with Niecy Nash, Kelly Oxford and the hosts of “The Humor Code” in a 90-minute presentation about when comedy meets real life.
