A Bronzeville man was arrested Wednesday on forgery charges after police executing a search warrant found he was manufacturing and selling counterfeit tickets, county prosecutors said, including tickets to a recent Bears game.

Prosecutors said police also found cell phone and email records showing that the man, Romez Banks, 38, had sold four fake Bears tickets to a man in Burbank on Sept. 5.

Banks, of the 3900 block of South Drexel Boulevard, was brought to the Cook County Criminal Courthouse Friday afternoon and released on a $10,000 I-bond. Prosecutors said Banks has three misdemeanor offenses on his record for similar crimes.
