The Chicago Police Department is giving Lakeview revelers another reason to drive safely, or take a bus, this weekend.

CPD's routine drunk driving task force is coming to the nightlife-dense Town Hall police district Saturday evening, where  they will monitor traffic for signs of impaired driving, police officials said in a release Thursday. Lakeview's 19th District encompasses Wrigleyville and Boystown and has a high concentration of bars and nightclubs.

The release said police officers will also look out for speeding drivers and people who aren't wearing seat belts.

CPD patrols districts for DUI-offenders several times a month. Last week officers were stationed in the 14th District, which includes parts of Logan Square and Palmer Square, and arrested two people for driving under the influence. They also issued 109 citations for various other driving offenses, the release said.
