Icona Pop, the pop music duo best known for their 2012 hit “I Don’t Care,” will make an appearance at ULTA Beauty (114 S. State) on Thursday. The group is partnering up with TIGI, a hair product company, and will offer an autographed poster and special gift bag to the first 200 guests who make a minimum $10 TIGI product purchase.

The duo will be at the store from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will pose for photos with attendees of the event.

The duo, a pairing of Swedish rockers Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt, first came together in 2010 after meeting at a party. The pair began writing music together the following day and released their first hit single, “Manners,” in 2011.

The group was also on a promotional tour last week, premiering the much buzzed-about Samsung Galaxy Gear Watch in New York City last Wednesday. In conjunction with the Galaxy debut, the duo also released a new single, “In the Stars (Galaxy Mix).” Their latest album, “This is … Icona Pop” is set for release later this fall.

The duo is scheduled for a Chicago show at Metro (3730 N. Clark) on Thursday night.
