Pair them up with $4 John Daly (iced tea, lemonade and bourbon). 4-11 p.m. Through Sept. 2.

DRINK

K9 Cocktails

Bad Dog Tavern 4535 N. Lincoln Ave. 773-334-4040

Whether or not you actually own a pooch, you can still celebrate National Dog Day on the 125-seat, dog-friendly patio with such $10 themed martinis as the Greyhound (gin, grapefruit juice) and the Shar Pei (pear vodka, lychee, pomegranate). 11:30 a.m.-2 a.m.

Jerry's 1938 W. Division St. 773-235-1006

Order $5-$8 ciders from Original Sin, Vander Mill, Virtue and others to sip with mix-and-match small sammies—pot roast, fried chicken, fried eggplant, grilled pork loin; $10.95 for three plus two sides—while you geek out to sci-fi cult classics including "Fantastic Planet," "Strange Invaders" and Andrei Tarkovsky's "Solaris." 7 p.m.-2 a.m. No cover.

DO
