When he first brought his comic "Man From Space" to my attention, Marc Jackson was just starting out as webcomic creator. (You can read my original review of his book HERE.) Now, almost 2 years later, "Man From Space" is not only found on the web, but has also been turned into a print comic for all the comic-book geeks who prefer the experience of turning paper pages in our hands. (Yeah, I know what that's like as my home office fills with long-boxes full of comics.)
Since he's entered this new phase of publishing, I asked Marc Jackson to re-introduce Geek To Me readers to his book, and asked if he could give away a free copy. Because he's such a ginchy guy, he agreed! So check this out:
I’d like to introduce to you my funny book (yep old school phrase) MAN FROM SPACE. It’s a Saturday morning cartoon style comic that follows the ridiculous adventures of said character, a schlubby rascal with an awesome beard and his sidekick Michael, the Goldfish. We follow them on their quest to make money to pay off Michael’s escalating gambling debts by any means necessary. Along the way they encounter fine-art loving aliens, teleporting robots and mustachioed midget wrestlers. Of course they do. So buckle up, strap-on your fun-pants and leave your good sense at the door, MAN FROM SPACE is coming to you, via Uranus...
You can check out the comic in full for free at manfromspace.co.uk You can order a copy by emailing email@example.com Follow me on twitter at @marcmakescomics
There’s also a fan-club too!
To win a copy of the comic, which I’ll send anywhere in the known universe, just answer this question: Man from Space mentions Michael’s gambling debts follow them around like? Easy, right? Give me a shout if you have the answer, or just want to tell me what you think about my comic! And if you like it, please spread the word about Man From Space!
**** Read the FREE webcomic to find the answer to Marc's Man From Space trivia question. Then send him your answer via e-mail.
Everyone who answers correctly will be entered into a drawing for a FREE PRINT COPY of the "Man From Space" comic book. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, August 14th. Winner to be notified via e-mail.
