Hey Chicago, you're getting (yet another) beer, music and art festival. (Hilary Higgins / For RedEye )
Andersonville, meet City Made. The new beer, art and music street festival planned for Sept. 21-22 celebrates Chicago-made goods in a neighborhood known for its small boutiques, bars and restaurants.
Currently still in the planning stages, City Made will take over Clark Street between Argyle Street and Carmen Avenue. Organizers currently are soliciting applications from bands and breweries—provided they're located within Chicago limits.
"There’s no shortage of breweries, no shortage of artists [in Chicago]," said Colleen O'Toole of the Andersonville Development Corporation. "We're hoping to get some good local music as well."
Like other street festivals, there will be no presale tickets for the event, but a $5 donation is suggested at the gates.
