Cousins Robbie Amell ("The Tomorrow People," left) and Stephen… (David Giesbrecht /The CW )
The CW will take its time debuting its Fall 2013 TV shows, launching three new series and its returning favorites in October.
The fun begins Oct. 7 with the return of "Hart of Dixie" and "Beauty and the Beast," both of which air on new nights this season. That's a theme for a lot of the CW schedule; only "The Vampire Diaries" and "Arrow" air on the same nights as last season.
"Arrow" will be followed on Wednesdays by the new series "The Tomorrow People," which stars Robbie Amell, cousin of "Arrow" star Stephen Amell. On Thursdays, the new series "Reign," abuot the early years of Mary, Queen of Scots, will follow "The Vampire Diaries."
Tuesday nights showcase two supernatural series. One is "Supernatural," which is back for its ninth season. It follows "The Originals," which tells the story of the original vampire family from "The Vampire Diaries." Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) find a new home in New Orleans, a city now run by Klaus's former protege Marcel (Charles Michael Davis).
"The Carrie Diaries" and "America's Next Top Model: Guys and Girls" get dumped to Fridays.
No word on when CW will air the final season of "Nikita."
