Before you fire up your grill, brush up on your skills at this class, where chef Matthew Pollock demonstrates how to cook shrimp, eggplant and chicken. Held in the River North restaurant's rooftop lounge, the lesson includes sangria and grilled bites. 3 p.m. Saturday. $25

Indulge your sweet tooth at this celebration of National Candy Month and Pride Month. The four-course brunch includes French toast, Belgian waffles and chilaquiles plus a cocktail, a gummy bear bar and rainbow-colored party favors. The River North spot is also mixing a $12 candy-themed Hennessy cocktail to benefit GLAAD. 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sunday. $18.50.

Try more than sixty beers from 30 national and local breweries including Great Lakes, Solemn Oath, Stone and Tighthead along with craft spirits and wine at the third annual festival. Shower Contest

Contestants hop in a shower in their underwear (or fully clothed) and try to elicit as many cheers from the audience as possible as they compete for $100 at the Boystown LGBT bar's weekly spectacle. Come early to sign up if you want to strut your stuff. Jade Sotomayor of "RuPaul's Drag Race" hosts. Midnight Friday. $2

One-Year Anniversary

The Roscoe Village spot celebrates its first birthday with a hosted bar of draft beer and well cocktails and a $13.99 1st Year Burger, a half-pound Angus patty topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms and pepper jack cheese and two grilled cheese sandwiches serving as the bun. 6-8 p.m. Friday. (Free!) RoadieCab Grand Opening & Season Kick Off Block Party

Warm weather in Chicago means it's pedicab time and new business RoadieCab is celebrating at this bash featuring rickshaw demonstrations, an art display, yoga classes and live music. After the party, hop on a pedicab for a ride along Armitage Avenue, where 11 spots will offer food and drink specials. 4-7 p.m. Saturday.
