Good show, indeed! Everyone's favorite slightly overweight Briton, Bridget Jones, is returning to the page in October in "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy," thr.com reports. It's the first novel in Helen Fielding's series since 1999's "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," which, if you're bad at math, came out 14 YEARS AGO. Fielding revealed in a excerpt that Bridge will be dealing with texting-related woes, a problem people really didn't have 14 YEARS AGO. We took out some odds on other possible plot points now that our heroine is 14 YEARS OLDER (and also are counting our gray hairs).
Bridget will still be wearing scary, stomach-holding-in panties
Odds: Even money. They're just called Spanx now.
Bridget will be conflicted about her serious crush on Prince Harry
Odds: 3:1. True, he's much younger than her, but have you seen the twinkle in that ginger's eye?
Mark Darcy's hairline has taken a turn for the worse
Odds: 10:1. All lies. Darcy will always be delicious.
The "boy" in question is Bridget's child
Odds: 4:1. After all, it has been 14 YEARS. Bridge surely couldn't be a smug childless at this point.
Weird sex costumes depicted will have moved from Playboy bunny to terrifying latex.
Odds: 50:1. This isn't "American Horror Story," people!
Bridget is taking all fashion, work, diet, vacation and life tips from Kate Middleton
Odds: Even money. But it's sacrilegious to call her anything but Duchess Catherine in Bridget's book.
