Daniel Day-Lewis stars as President Abraham Lincoln in director Steven… (Dreamworks )
This has been Lincoln's year.
Even though Abraham Lincoln would have turned 204 years old last month, he's still a pretty popular guy.
The proof: The "Lincoln" DVD comes out March 26. The movie has grossed more than $180 million in the U.S. since it came out in theaters in November. Daniel Day-Lewis won the Oscar for the lead role in "Lincoln" in February, a month after the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation going into effect.
Don't forget how good old Abe was featured as a vampire hunter in yet another movie and fought zombies in a straight-to-DVD movie. How presidential!
The love fest for Honest Abe continues with the kitschy Hotel Lincoln, which has a rooftop overlooking Lincoln Park. The hotel, which has had an Abe Lincoln impersonator at its grand opening and Presidents Day events, celebrated its one-year anniversary this month. It was recently recognized in November with the 2012 Fodor's 100 Hotel Award, designating it as one of the most distinctive hotels in the world.
