Free pancakes at IHOP

Free pancakes, anyone?

IHOP will be giving out complimentary cakes in honor of National Pancake Day next week. The event will also celebrate the Children’s Miracle Networks Hospital’s 30th anniversary.

More than 1,500 IHOP restaurants nationwide will give away a free stack of pancakes to each customer who shows up between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday. During this time, guests will be encouraged to make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals programs at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

This will be IHOP’s eighth National Pancake Day celebration. It’s the company’s largest philanthropic event of the year. They company has raised more $10 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other charities over the years.

Customers also can purchase “Miracle Balloons,” which will be sold for $1 and $5 each, throughout the month of January leading up to the event. All proceeds from these sales will go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
