EAT

Twice the Tacos

Taco Joint 158 W. Ontario St. 312-337-8226

The tiny Lincoln Park restaurant of the same name welcomes a second, much larger River North sibling. Stop in for specialties such as the Lomo Taco (grilled ribeye and guacamole, $3.50) and a signature Black & Green Margarita (Negra Modelo beer served over a frozen Zocalo margarita, $8). 5-11 p.m.

Supper Stories

Lincoln Restaurant 4008 N. Lincoln Ave. 773-251-1539

Nosh your way through Eat This! Stories for the Love of Food, where Monte LaMonte hosts stories—accompanied by free snacks—from eight local foodies including Ted Brunson of WGN-TV's "Chicago's Best," Lula Cafe sous chef Michael Simmons, Taqueria el Asadero server Viviana Flores and comedian and forager Dave Odd, who brings just-picked citrus fruits. 8 p.m. $10. Tickets: montelovesfood.tumblr.com.

DRINK

Wine and Frosting

D.O.C. Wine Bar 2602 N. Clark St. 773-883-5101

Satiate your sweet tooth at Cupcakes & Wine Night, where four treats from Molly's Cupcakes are served with vino samples, including a honey cupcake with pomegranate filling and grapefruit meringue paired with a Louis Bouillot Cremant de Bourgogne rosé. 6 p.m. $25.

Glass House

McGee's Tavern & Grille 950 W. Webster Ave. 773-549-8200

Looking for a brew special that doesn't end once you've drained your glass? Head to Pint Night, where $3 Goose Island IPA drafts arrive in a take-home souvenir glass. Additional specials include $1 burgers and $2 Bud drafts. 6-9 p.m. No cover.

DO

Midweek Stand-Up

Timothy O'Toole's 622 N. Fairbanks Court 312-642-0700

Comedians You Should Know celebrates five years of showcases with stand-up sets by all its hosts, past and present—Marty DeRosa, Danny Kallas, Joe Kilgallon, Mike Lebovitz, Drew Michael, Michael Sanchez, Mike Sheehan and Junior Stopka. The regular 9 p.m. time slot sold out, so an early show has been added. 7 p.m. $5-$10. Tickets: comediansyoushouldknow.com.

REDEYE TIP OF THE DAY

Sunday's D'Vine Affair fundraiser tickets are pricey—$125—but with 250 tastings, that works out to 50 cents a glass: catholiccharities.net/dvine.
