Need a new bike? Want to get rid of the one you have or make a trade for a better one?
Bring it to the Chicago Bike Swap from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9 at UIC Physical Education Building, 901 W. Roosevelt Road.
The bike swap organized by the nonprofit Active Transportation Alliance benefits Chicago Bike Winter, a campaign that promotes cycling year-round, and thechainlink.org, an online resource for cyclists.
Admission is $10 and a discounted $5 for alliance members, kids 12 and under, and UIC students, staff and faculty. Cyclists can bring up to three bikes and pay $5 per bike to sell or trade in the bike corral.
The expo also is a chance to check out bikes, parts, gear, info on bike events and even a performance by a women's BMX bike dance troupe called the Racketeers.
