With the warm weather this month, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in July. It's time for the Claus to come out. RedEye has devised a few ways for the city to go overboard on its holiday celebrations.

>> Call the starting corrals at Chicago Christmas races "carols" and play the "The 12 days of Christmas" countdown to start the race.

>> Change mass transit to Christmass transit and have multiple holiday trains Kris-kross the system.

>> Host a jazzy, upbeat comedy set by Chicago comedian Jeff Garland.

>> Decorate U.S. Cellular Field with glittery strands and change the name to "The Tin-Cell."

>> Bring back Marshall Field's, known for its yuletide window dressings and ornate Christmas Tree in its Walnut Room. The store's sale to Macy's in 2005 inspired more than a few bah-humbugs.
