Tina Fey and Amy Poehler offer up a big hint that the Golden Globes ceremony won't have the sharp edge it has the past three years when Ricky Gervais hosted the annual party.
Fey and Poehler, co-hosts of the "70th Golden Globe Awards," offered up their first promo of the Jan. 13 ceremony shortly after the nominees were announced Thursday morning.
"We're so excited we'll be talking in classic Hollywood voices for all our banter," Fey says.
That's fun for less than 30 seconds, as Fey and Poehler discover in the ad. But you can count on the longtime friends (since their days at Second City in Chicago), former "SNL" cast members and co-nominees in the best comedy actress category to find other entertaining things to do for the telecast. (Fey grabbed her sixth nod for "30 Rock" while Poehler grabbed her second nom for "Parks and Recreation.")
It's yet to be seen if their goofier style be more fun than Gervais' mean streak. What do you think?
