'Portlandia' gets even more special guests

We already knew about several guests coming to "Portlandia" for its third season beginning Jan. 4. On Tuesday, IFC announced even more.

Roseanne Barr, Matt Berry ("The IT Crowd"), Rose Byrne, the band Dirty Projectors, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Hader, Juliette Lewis, Matt Lucas ("Little Britain"), J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., Bobby Moynihan, tennis champ Martina Navratilova, Patton Oswalt and George Wendt all will join Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein playing more unusual individuals living in Portland, OR.

Season 3 of the Emmy-nominated comedy premieres at 9 p.m. CT Jan. 4 on IFC.

The network previously announced guest stars Chloe Sevigny, who will appear in multiple episodes as Fred and Carrie's new roommate, Alexandra. Jeff Goldblum, Kyle MacLachlan and Kumail Nanjiani also will appear in the new season.

Don't forget to tune in for a pre-premiere episode at 9:30 p.m. CT Dec. 14. The special episode will show winter in Portlandia for the first time.
