Here's how some Chicago colleges are celebrating Thanksgiving students who remain on campus.

Columbia College: Columbia will participate in the Thanksgiving Fellowship program run by the International House at the University of Chicago for eight international students to spend their Thanksgiving holiday with an American family in Southern Illinois. Northwestern University is also doing a similar program called Host an International, where university staff, faculty and students open their homes to international students on Thanksgiving.

Loyola University: Loyola's Campus Ministry and Loyola Dining will host an on-campus Thanksgiving celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at Lake Shore Dining, Second Floor, Centennial Forum Student Union at 1125 W. Loyola Ave.

Roosevelt University: A buffet-style Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m.  to 3 p.m. Thursday on the second floor of the Wabash Building, in the Wabash cafeteria.

University of Chicago: The Hyde Park/Kenwood Interfaith Council is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Celebration, which features the Chicago Children's Choir, at the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at 5850 S. Woodlawn Ave. The event is free and starts at 11 a.m. Students can also attend a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at the Arley D. Cathey Dining Commons, 6025 S. Ellis Ave., at 11 a.m. for $20.99 per person.
