EAT

Sparkle and Squawk

Pecking Order 4416 N. Clark St. 773-907-9900

Add a little sparkle to your poultry during Chicks 'n' Bubbles, where a tasting flight of four sparkling wines is paired with a Filipino-style marinated half-chicken served grilled, fried or roasted with two sides of your choice. 7-10 p.m. $30 plus tax and gratuity.

(Free!) American Pie

Delightful Pastries Chicago French Market, 131 N. Clinton St. 312-234-9644

What's Happy Hour without…pie? Yes, pie. Try samples of apple-caramel, cranberry-fudge, pecan-chocolate or—hey, it's November—pumpkin at this after-work Pie Tasting for the most American of all desserts. 4-6 p.m.

DRINK

In the Spirit

The Anthem 1725 N. Division St. 773-697-4804

The Ukie Village sports bar celebrates its first anniversary with Spirit Week promotions. Tuesday, it's Nerd Day, which means you can sip $7 Tanqueray Giml-ito cocktails—which, yes, are a geeky scientific mash-up of gimlets and mojitos—and a special $10.99 cheddar-stuffed Juicy Lucy burger. 4 p.m.-2 a.m.

DO

Taxi Driver

Profiles Theatre 4139 N. Broadway 773-549-1815

When "Hellcab"—Will Kern's dramedy about a day in the life of a Chicago cab driver—debuted in 1992, it was scheduled for 12 performances but exploded into a run that lasted more than nine years and spawned productions across the country and around the world. The 20th anniversary remount features 34 actors, and the Tuesday preview show is half-price. 8 p.m. $20. Tickets: profilestheatre.org.

Hail Hogwarts

Broadway Playhouse 175 E. Chestnut St. 312-642-2000

"Potted Potter"—in which former BBC Television hosts Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner condense all seven Harry Potter books into a fast-paced parody featuring multiple costume changes, comedic songs and an interactive Quidditch match—kicks off a five-week Chicago run and for the first two shows (Tuesday and Wednesday) you can save $20 per ticket (regularly $39.95-$84.95) with the code FIRST. 7:30 p.m. Tickets: pottedpotter.com.
