Romney supporter's face tattoo will remain on face despite loss

Today in wildly unsurprising news, the Indiana man who had the Romney/Ryan logo tatted on his face was disappointed with the election and, seemingly, with the tattoo itself.

30-year-old Eric Hartsburg explained his tattoo aftermath to POLITICO with a classic breakfast euphemism: "Totally disappointed, man. I'm the guy who has egg all over his face, but instead of egg, it's a big Romney/Ryan tattoo. It's there for life."

The tattoo was a result of what can only be explained as mass fanaticism or mass sadism, when Hartsburg raised $5,000 on eBay for a 5-by-2 inch portion on the side of his face to become a permanent political billboard. The plan was a surprise to his wife, but elicited what probably should have been a telling reaction from his teenager: "My 15-year-old son, however, he was all about it."

As a professional wrestler, Hartsburg said he hopes the tattoo creates opportunities in the entertainment department. Until then, he'll live in the shadow of his toothpaste-esque facial fixture.

"I've gotten a lot of negative stuff, a lot of 'F U's,'" he said. "It's all kinds of ribbage, man."
