Northwestern's connection to 'Skyfall'

November 09, 2012|By Erin Vogel @eringejuice | For RedEye

Attention, Bond fans: For those of you getting ready to see "Skyfall" this weekend (or for those of you yawning your way through work after catching the midnight show Thursday night), did you know the film has a Chicago connection?

One of "Skyfall's" screenwriters, John Logan, lived in Chicago while he attended Northwestern University's School of Communication. He worked as a successful playwright in the city for several years after his 1983 graduation before he started writing for Hollywood. His work has received three best screenplay nominations from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for "Gladiator," "The Aviator" and "Hugo."
