The old saying "there's no such thing as a free lunch" doesn't apply to McDonald's stores in Chicago on Thursday.

The fast-food giant is giving away free Big Macs at four of its locations and free small orders of French fries at 23 locations as a thank you to downtown customers and a celebration of four newly reimaged stores. How do get the free stuff and where is it being offered?

Here are the details.

From 11 a.m. to noon, customers can receive a free small fry at the following locations:
233 N. Michigan
111 W. Jackson
233 W. Jackson
36 W. Randolph
10 E. Chicago Ave.
405 N. Wabash River Plaza
645 N. McClurg Court
201 N. Clark
300 N. Wells
186 W. Adams
555 W. Madison
29 N. Wacker
23 S. Clark
500 W. Madison St.
230 S. State. St.
144. S. Wabash
119 N. Wabash
1380 W. Lake
600 E. Grand Ave.
2301 S. Lake Shore Drive
Field Museum
600 N. Clark

At noon at the McDonald's at 10 E. Chicago, 500 W. Madison, 186 W. Adams and 144 S. Wabash, the first 100 customers will receive a Big Mac. You must be 18 to receiver one, though. Sorry, kids.
