Bears Trivia Challenge, Vol. 5: The answer

October 18, 2012

We put our Twitter followers to the test before every Bears game. At stake: a chance to join our Four Score panel. Here's this week’s question and answer.

Question:

If you drank a shot every time a Bears player fumbled last season, how many fifths of alcohol would you have gone through? (Assume each shot is 1.5 ounces, and round to two decimal places.)

Answer:

The Bears fumbled 26 times during the 2011 season, meaning you would have thrown down 26 shots. Assuming each shot is 1.5 ounces, you would have consumed 39 ounces total. Now, a fifth of alcohol is 25 ounces, so when you divide 39 by 25, you get 1.56 fifths of alcohol.

This week’s winner is Carlos May Nazario (@cnazario)! He’ll appear in Four Score on Friday. And Friday also is when you can find the next question, both in print and online. Good luck!
