Get a taste of the River North neighborhood at October Feast, where diners meets up for appetizers at Maggiano's and then break into smaller groups to head out for bites at five of the 25 participating restaurants. Kick up your sushi game with the winning roll from the restaurant's Wake Up Little Sushi contest: the kiwi, cream cheese and cucumber-based Sweet Charity Roll ($11), created by WCIU-TV "You and Me This Morning" personalities Melissa Forman and Jeanne Sparrow. It's available through Oct. 15 and partial proceeds benefit the Heartland Animal Shelter. 11 a.m.-midnight.

It should come as no surprise that the West Loop restaurant celebrates National Pork Month with such options as pulled pork tacos ($9), grilled pork chop ($17) and—with five days' notice—a 60-pound full pig with sides for six to eight people ($250). 11:30-a.m.-midnight.
