Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam perform onstage at Lollapalooza in Grant Park…
For those who are waxing tired of Grant Park as the venue of choice for their Lollapalooza, their South American options have announced some strong lineups for 2013.
Lollapalooza Brazil and Lollapalooza Chile, entering their second and third years, respectively, will welcome the usual of pseudo-nostalgia acts to headline the festivals, making the festivals viable southern alternatives to the Chicago's original version of Lollapalooza.
In Brazil, Pearl Jam, The Killers, The Black Keys, deadmau5, Queens of the Stone Age and Planet Hemp lead the way, while Chile will boast nearly the same lineup, sans Pearl Jam and Planet Hemp, but will feature many Chilean artists.
The festivals will also share undercard acts like A Perfect Circle, The Hives, Passion Pit, Franz Ferdinand and Two Door Cinema Club.
Lollapalooza Chile will take place April 6-7 at Parque O'Higgins, with two-day passes already on sale. The Brazilian version, which added a third day, will be held March 29-31 at Jockey Club de Sao Paulo. Tickets go on sale Oct. 9.
