One of the city's oldest churches celebrates its German roots during Oktoberfest Chicago, which features brats, beer and German and American bands on two stages—plus a Jumbotron for Sunday NFL football viewing—during this 12th annual indoor-outdoor bash. 5-10 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. $5.

Plenty, you'll discover, at the Ravenswood Art Walk, which includes more than 200 spots showcasing fine art, crafts, performances and design.
