EAT

MOLLUSK MADNESS
Roscoe Village
Damen Avenue and Roscoe Street 773-868-3010
The summer festival season winds down with early-fall favorite Guinness Oyster Fest, which features raw and cooked oysters and other fest food vendors, plus live music on two stages, arts and crafts booths and plenty of Guinness and other beer. 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. $7 suggested donation.

MAKIN' BACON
Lincoln Hall
2424 N. Lincoln Ave. 773-525-2501
If your dreams involve bacon-wrapped everything, you can satisfy your cravings at the Chicago Bacon Takedown, where you sample 20 sweet and savory creations by local amateur chefs and vote for your favorite. Noon. Sunday. $15.

DRINK

PARTY ON TAP
Fatpour Tap Works
2005 W. Division St. 773-698-8940
The Wicker Park bar celebrates its grand opening with half-price appetizers from 4-6 p.m. (regularly $7-$13), music from DJ-drummer duo Genxo (9:30 p.m.) and $5 PBR-and-shot combos and $20 fishbowl cocktails all night. 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday. No cover.

DO

(Free!) PEDESTRIAN PLAYGROUND
Milwaukee Avenue between Division Street and Western Avenue
A 15-block stretch of Wicker Park transforms into a car-free recreation zone for Open Streets Chicago. Take advantage of a mobile skate park, climbing wall, yoga classes, four square games, relay races and more—or just a stroll down the middle of the street. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Schedule: openstreetschicago.org.

WILD RIDE
Humboldt Park
Division Street and Kedzie Avenue
Punk rock festival Riot Fest adds an outdoor component this year (and a pay-as-you-go carnival complete with a Ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, midway games and more), so even though Friday night's show at the Congress Theater is sold out, you can still see nearly 50 bands including Iggy & the Stooges, Elvis Costello, the Screaming Females and the Descendents. 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. $45 per day; $79.98 for a two-day pass: riotfest.org.
