Milk & Honey Cafe
1920 W. Division St. 773-395-9434
This corner cafe serves breakfast during the week with extended hours on the weekend. Place your order for buttermilk granola pancakes or casserole-style huevos rancheros at the counter and hang out at a table until it’s ready.

Birchwood Kitchen
2211 W. North Ave. 773-276-2100
During the week, this cute BYOB cafe excels with seriously tasty sandwiches, and the same applies to its hearty breakfast sammies served on the weekends, including a killer croque madame (and a vegetarian version as well) best enjoyed on the hidden backyard patio.

The Bristol
2152 N. Damen Ave. 773-862-5555
Sunday brunch at this come-as-you-are eatery changes seasonally but is always satisfying. You can’t go wrong with the chilaquiles, pork belly hangover pasta

The Bongo Room
1470 N. Milwaukee Ave. 773-489-0690
Some can’t get enough and others argue it’s overrated, but Bongo is synonymous with brunch in Wicker Park. Funky eggs Benedicts and desserty pancakes and French toast are signatures.

Toast
2046 N. Damen Ave. 773-772-5600
This cute cafe’s brunch menu is loaded with everything from scrambles and omelets to breakfast sammies and burritos. Indecisive brunchers should consider the pancake or French toast samplers, which combine the best sweet options onto one plate. Wasabi-spiced bloody marys and Irish cream-spiked coffee deliver in the hair-of-the-dog department.
