Wicker Park's Silver Room boutique store will be hosting its 10th annual Sound System Block Party on July 21. The event will feature DJs Joe Claussell and Ron Trent, as well as a whole host of performers from the music, fashion, art and dance worlds, closing down Evergreen Street between Milwaukee and Wicker Park Avenues from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Silver Room store at 1442 N. Milwaukee Ave. will also be taken over for the day, according to the store's Facebook page.

Joining the two DJs will be the genre-mixing Sidewalk Chalk and pioneers of ballroom rock Blah Blah Blah, according to shop owner Eric Williams. Throughout the day there will also be art boards for kids, skateboard trick demonstrations by Uprise skateboard shop and a performance from Chicago-based arts collaboration, Collaboraction.
