R&B singers Musiq Soulchild and Chicago-native Syleena Johnson will perform at this year's Westside Music Festival at Garfield Park on Aug. 18, according to the festival's website.
Also performing will be Carl Thomas, of "I Wish" fame, and up-and-coming singer Alex Boyd.
In addition to the Aug. 18 concert, the festival will feature a day of Chicago musicians billed as "Chicago's Home Grown Talent" on July 21 at Douglas Park featuring the Chris Davis Jazztet, Sidewalk Chalk, April Fools, Jason Ferguson and Natalie Oliveri. There will also be a celebration of gospel music, including food and family entertainment at Columbus Park on Aug. 11.
