'Dark Knight Rises' tickets are HOW much?!?!

The Joker's really on these Batman fans

June 18, 2012|By Dana Moran | RedEye

It's the middle of the night, you're waiting in an insanely long line and there are a bunch of people dressed in crazy outfits. You could only be one of two places: outside a River North club, or at a midnight movie premiere. We happen to think the latter is much more fun, but fans might be taking it too far with "Dark Knight Rises." MTV and a quick eBay search reveal some IMAX midnight screenings of the new Batman flick, out July 20, are going for up to $150 for two tickets. Sorry, Christian Bale, but for that kind of cash, we're expecting some pretty amazing stuff. We broke down the financials on what we'd be willing to pay for an amped-up Batman experience.

$20

Anne Hathaway and Michelle Pfeiffer get into a fight over who's the better Catwoman. This is worth only $20 because we obviously know who wins. (Hint: It's not Anne.)

$50

Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Robin. Yes, yes, we know it didn't go all that well for Chris O'Donnell, but there are far fewer rubber nipples in this flick.

$150

Free Icees for life, in our flavor of choice. Some days you're in the mood for cherry, but other times, you just can't beat blue raspberry. Oh, and nachos too.

$250

All those bridges in Pittsburgh are exploded in real life, not just through the magic of CGI. What, like you want those Steelers fans to be able to get to Chicago in the fall?

$500

All tickets come with a complimentary Batboat ride to Jamaica, good for reimbursement in the next year. You know you're already plotting your escape from the Chicago winters too.

$10,000

The Joker bursts through a wall, revealing the fact that Heath Ledger has been alive and in hiding this entire time. Much like Tupac.
