WATCH
"WWE: Extreme Rules 2012"
Available Tuesday on DVD.
This event took place at Allstate Arena at the end of April, and it featured the return of Brock Lesnar—who had been in the UFC—to the WWE and Chicagoan CM Punk defending his championship belt against Chris Jericho in a "Chicago street fight."
ATTEND
Sky vs. Washington
7:30 p.m. Friday, Allstate Arena
Basketball in Chicago lives! The Sky is 1-1 on the young WNBA season with a new-look team, led by returning center Sylvia Fowles, who's averaging 22 points a game, good for third in the league.
ATTEND
Windy City Rollers
6 p.m. Saturday, UIC Pavilion
Not only is this the Ivy Cup championship featuring the Manic Attackers vs. The Fury, but it's also a fundraising event for Tequlia Mockingbird, a veteran skater who injured her spinal cord in a fall during a bout in 2007.
WATCH
Fire at New England
6:30 p.m. Saturday, CSN
The Men in Red travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the Revolution in an MLS matchup. The Fire and Revolution represent one of the league's intense rivalries. The two have met 15 times in postseason play, with the results an evenly split 7-7-1. Besides, no one likes Boston-area sports teams.
ATTEND
Rush vs. Spokane
3 p.m. Sunday, Allstate Arena
New mascot alert! The Rush will introduce Bruiser the Bulldog in a pregame ceremony. Don't worry, though, longtime mascot Grabowski remains a part of the team. So, yes, the Rush will be using the rarely seen two-mascot format.
