"Carrie" vs. Carrie: It's not pretty

When "Sex and the City's" heroine takes on America's favorite telekinetic horror queen

March 27, 2012|By Dana Moran | RedEye

In slightly disappointing news, Lindsay Lohan has not been cast in the remake of everybody's favorite pig-blood flick, "Carrie." Fortunately, Chloe Moretz has been offered the role, reports. On the heels of this awesome pick, and last week's reveal of AnnaSophia Robb as teen Carrie Bradshaw in the "Sex and the City" prequel, "The Carrie Diaries," we matched the two characters to see how they compare. Note: We used adult Carrie Bradshaw, because her life is way more fabulous. | @redeyedana

Carrie White: Poetry, being shy, burning down buildings

Carrie Bradshaw: Sex, New York City, herself

Carrie White: Long, straight and perfect for hiding behind

Carrie Bradshaw: Large, curly and sometimes crafted into inexplicable cinnamon-roll buns

Love life

Carrie White: Has a major crush on Tommy Ross, who's dating another girl but asks Carrie to the prom. This may or may not end badly.

Carrie Bradshaw: We cannot count high enough to figure out how many boyfriends she's had. Highlights include Mr. Big, Aidan and that politician played by John Slattery from "Mad Men" who wanted to pee on her.

Carrie White: Locked inside a closet, the library, the prom

Carrie Bradshaw: Shoe stores, clubs with beds in them, the same brunch table every week

Secret powers

Carrie White: Telekinesis

Carrie Bradshaw: Confidence to wear insane outfits

Breaking point

Carrie White: Being drenched in a bucket of pig's blood at the prom

Carrie Bradshaw: Having her shoes stolen both while being mugged and at a house party
