March 04, 2012|By Brian Moore, RedEye

"MLB 12: The Show"

Available Tuesday on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita

"Major League Baseball 2K12"

Available Tuesday on all gaming consoles.

Considering the state of Chicago's baseball teams in 2012, these games might represent the best pro ball played in the city this year.

"Don't Put Me In, Coach"

Available Tuesday.

Subtitled "My Incredible NCAA Journey from the End of the Bench to the End of the Bench," this book chronicles Mark Titus' four years as a walk-on for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He didn't play much, but Titus amassed a wealth of inside information about OSU. And it arrives just as March Madness does. Score!

Northwestern vs. Minnesota

4:30 p.m. Thursday, ESPN2

If the Wildcats win this game, they could make history on Selection Sunday as the first Northwestern basketball team to ever qualify for the NCAA tournament. No pressure of anything, fellas.

Blackhawks vs. N.Y. Rangers

7:30 p.m. Friday, United Center

This could—COULD—be the game Captain Jonathan Toews makes his long-awaited return to the lineup. And if so, it couldn't come at a better time, as the Rangers are one of the league's best and the Hawks need wins as they fight for the playoffs.

Rush vs. Tampa Bay

7 p.m. Saturday, Allstate Arena

Get your winter football fix, even if it is of the Arena Football League variety. This game is the first of the Rush's campaign to defend last year's Central Division title.
