Chicago rockers Counting 10 answered our Chi-Tunes questionnaire. Do the same and your band could appear in RedEye!
What makes your live show great?
We have a great mix of musicians. We are an acoustic rock orchestra! This allows us a lot of flexibility in our sound, both with our original music and our unique take on covers, like Death Cab's "Soul Meets Body," Pearl Jam's "Indifference" and Outkast's "Hey Ya!" to name a few.
Describe your sound in five words or less.
Powerful, emotional, acoustic, riff-driven rock
Tell us something random about the band, and why that's significant.
We have debute a new song at every show we have played since 2010. It's tough to keep that streak going, but we're trying!
Who would you want to work with, and who would you never work with? Why?
We want to work with as many local Chicago bands as possible, and are open to teaming up with anyone in any style of music. We would never work with a band like Creed. They suck.
If the band was a breakfast cereal, what would it be and why?
I think we would be Rice Crispies. Our sound is catchy, a little poppy, easy to digest and will leave you satisfied.
What's the best album you've heard recently?
Delta Spirit's "History From Below" and Eddie Vedder's "Ukelele Songs."
What song do you never want to hear again?
If I hear Maroon 5 "Moves Like Jagger" again I might go postal. Why did you let them use your name in such a horrible song, Mick?!? WHY?!?
What is Chicago's best music venue and why?
Schubas. Great people to work with, great sound and always a great crowd.
